FAQ

Sunbrella : "This cover will breathe"?
This means that, if you put your top up wet, the water can evaporate out of the boat and is not trapped inside. This is especially important if you live in a humid area.
Never wash your boat top in a machine. You can use a hose and a soft bristle brush for cleaning. Allow the cover to dry completely before folding for storage

How many days must I wait before receiving my top at home?
You should count 2 working days if your order is received before 11 a.m. (Eastern Time), count one more working day after 11 a.m. (Eastern Time).
Also add a maximum of 5 days UPS ground shipping depending on your location in North America, for a total of maximum 7 working days to your door.

If I do not want or cannot order online, how else can I order?
You have two options: call our toll free number at 1-866-338-7326 or dial 1-819-364-1169 and have a fax number ready. We can fax an order form that you fill in and fax back to us.

Which kind of brackets are included with my top?
deux 90 degrees deck mounts.

These brackets fit most boats, however if you wish to get other nylon brackets included, just let us know when placing your order, and we will replace the standard brackets with those of your choice with no extra costs.

Is an installation brochure included with my top?
Yes, of course! Every top shipped comes with an installation brochure.

Will my top be shipped disassembled?
Yes, unfortunately due to the expensive shipping cost, we must disassemble each top for shipping, but it is very simple to assemble the pole. You only have 12 screws to screw in the pre-drilled color-coded holes. The next step is to insert the pole inside the canvas by following the instructions in the installation brochure step by step.

What kind of braid surrounds the top and boot? Is it made of vinyl?
Because vinyl will dry and crack with time, we use a centerfold Sunbrella braid that matches the quality of the superior fabrics we use, such as Top Gun and Sunbrella.

Care and Cleaning of Fabrics:
Clean Top Gun fabrics periodically with a solution of 4 oz. Clorox and 2 oz. of soap (no detergents) in one gallon of water to minimize accumulations of dirt and bird droppings, which can support surface mildew growth and cause fabric staining.
Sunbrella should be cleaned regularly before substances such dirt, roof particles, etc. are allowed to accumulate on and become embedded in the fabric.
The fabric can be cleaned without being removed from the installation. Simply brush off any loose dirt, roof particles, etc.; hose down and clean with a mild solution of natural soap in lukewarm water (no more than 100 degrees F.). Rinse thoroughly to remove soap.
DO NOT USE DETERGENT. Allow to air dry.

What happens if the included standard brackets (90-degree deck mounts (flat) and side mounts) do not allow proper installation of my Bimini top?
Determine which mounting brackets you need in order to install your top by checking our accessory parts and contact us, preferably as you order your top.
